ASO6 Finance Business Adviser

Are you a finance professional who excels at translating complex data into strategic insights? We are currently recruiting for a State Government client looking for a high-performing Finance Business Advisor to join their Budget and Financial Services team in Adelaide for a 6month contract starting as soon as possible.

The Impact You Will Make

As a Finance Business Advisor you will be responsible for providing the following key outcomes:

• Strategic Advisory: Providing high-quality, expert financial reporting and analysis to senior officers to support effective decision-making.

• Budget Management: Managing annual budgets and FTE plans, including the development of monthly revenue and expenditure journals.

• Reporting & Analysis: Coordinating the production of monthly financial reports, variance analyses, and end-of-year projections.

The Capabilities You Bring

We are seeking a proactive professional who thrives in a sensitive, high-volume environment. To be successful, you will need:

• Experience in financial and budgetary management, including forecast development.

• A sound knowledge financial management frameworks, systems, and budget and finance functions.

• High-level ability to communicate complex financial matters to stakeholders at all levels with tact and professionalism.

• Proven ability to exercise independent judgment and meet critical deadlines under broad direction.

• Tertiary qualification in accountancy, business, or commerce is highly desirable.
